NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police has firmly denied allegations regarding the use of pellet guns against protesters during the recent “sansad chalo” march. The police stated that they do not possess such weapons.
In a public statement, the police urged citizens to refrain from sharing or circulating unverified information. They emphasized the importance of verifying facts through official sources before posting or forwarding any content. The police also warned that legal action would be taken against those found spreading rumors or misinformation.
“Reports claiming that police forces are using pellet guns against peaceful protesters are completely false and misleading. The public is strongly advised not to share or circulate unverified content. Please verify facts from official sources before posting or forwarding any information. Appropriate legal action will be taken against individuals found spreading rumours or misinformation,”
The Delhi Police’s statement aims to maintain public order and ensure accurate information dissemination during the ongoing protests.
